Develop and implement policies, practices, and procedures that significantly influence the organization.
Oversee all audit activities and ensure compliance.
Supervise the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings, ensuring adherence to GAAP and other applicable standards.
Regularly analyze financial data and provide timely, accurate reports. Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements at both the site and consolidated levels. Keep senior leadership informed on financial progress and changes.
Support the VP of Finance in engaging with the board’s audit and finance committees on financial models and operational trends.
Lead and guide the finance team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Identify strengths, clarify roles, and implement training programs to enhance individual and organizational performance.
Align departmental objectives with the broader goals of the organization.
Manage personnel actions, including hiring, performance evaluations, and terminations.
Strengthen internal communication with staff at all levels of the organization.
Manage cash flow forecasting in collaboration with executive leadership, ensuring the financial effectiveness of program operations and supporting the development of finance and administrative systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
10 years of financial management experience in a manufacturing setting.
CPA and/or MBA preferred
Experience with a Big Four accounting firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) is highly valued.
Proven leadership and management abilities.
Strong background in audit coordination, financial reporting, budget development, and managing accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and investment accounting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in automated financial and accounting systems and manufacturing-related software.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
