Are you a seasoned financial professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for manufacturing? We're on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented Plant Controller to join our vibrant team. This role is pivotal in our organization, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial operations. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting, financial planning, process improvement, GAAP, labor costing, manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and costing. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Plant Controller, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. Your duties will include:
1. Overseeing all financial operations including accounting, financial planning, and analysis for the manufacturing plant.
2. Developing and maintaining timely and accurate financial statements and reports in line with GAAP.
3. Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.
4. Conducting comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities to improve performance.
5. Implementing and managing robust inventory management systems to ensure accurate costing and valuation.
6. Analyzing and managing labor costing, providing insights to optimize workforce efficiency and productivity.
7. Leading continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
8. Collaborating with the management team to align financial management with short and long-term operational strategies.
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or a professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
2. At least five years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
4. Proficiency in manufacturing accounting, labor costing, and inventory management.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights.
6. Strong leadership skills with an ability to influence and drive change.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
9. A proactive approach with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
