Job Details

Role Summary:
The Plant Manager has direct responsibility for all plant and quarry related aspects at the site including Safety, Environmental,
Operations, Quality, HR, and community relations. The ideal candidate will be an operational professional who understands the value of
planning and processes and takes a disciplined approach to execution. The position works closely and collaboratively with the
Materials Manager, Operations, Maintenance, Safety/Environmental, Sales, and Finance.

Duties and/or Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
  • Optimize reserves and minimize cost while ensuring high quality raw material feed for plant
  • Maintain constant vigilance on environmental legislation for road grading and watering
  • Adhere to established maintenance standards in cooperation with equipment department
  • Execute plan and reach targets for production volume, quality, and cost for mining
  • Assist with and recommend CapEx and purchasing planning, evaluation, and implementation of capital projects
  • Train and coach site employees and work with HR to address disciplinary issues as needed
  • Manage drill and blast contractors
  • Lead mine planning and related processes
  • Adhere strictly to all Safety and Environmental regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Aggregates or Mining
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • High level understanding of MSHA rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of processing methods and planning techniques
  • Strong blasting expertise
  • Must be able to troubleshoot by using strong analytical skills
  • Must be able to successfully analyze and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and governmental
regulations as they pertain to operations
