We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Plant Manager to join our thriving Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with an operation and has a passion for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to influence a team and drive significant growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.
2. Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
3. Develop and control profits, plans, and budget.
4. Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
5. Manage capital asset maintenance.
6. Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
7. Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
8. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
9. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
10. Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
11. Provide direction, development and leadership to production supervisors and managers.
12. Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes to reduce waste and increase efficiencies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant leadership position within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in CNC operations, scheduling and forecasting.
4. Solid understanding of Six Sigma principles and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
5. Demonstrated understanding of the financial aspects of business operation including budgeting and financial reporting.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
9. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members.
10. Experience in managing the budgeting process, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow management.
11. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
