Requirements
Nice to Haves
- Lead and develop a plant team of nearly 300, ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are met
- Champion a culture of respect, communication, and cross-functional collaboration in line with our ABCD and WH2 leadership principles
- Proactively manage daily plant operations with a firm but fair leadership style
- Build alignment between departments and foster a "connector" mindset that prevents silos and drives solutions
- Guide leadership development and hands-on coaching of Unit Managers and staff
- Maintain compliance with TS16949 quality standards and environmental regulations
- Oversee staffing, training needs, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with corporate leadership on strategic direction, reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing
- Serve as a key figure in plant-wide employee engagement and retention strategy
Requirements
- 5+ years of automotive plant leadership experience
- 10+ years of management experience in a high-output manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to lead cultural transformation and build high-performing teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel, particularly during the first month to shadow senior leadership
Nice to Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Background in Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and employee engagement strategies
- Exposure to multi-site operations or plant turnarounds
- Human development training or coaching credential
