Responsibilities:
As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Developing and executing a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
2. Overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the company.
3. Implementing strategies in alignment with strategic manufacturing planning.
4. Ensuring production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
5. Collaborating with quality control, warehouse, and other staff to implement cost-effective improvements to production processes.
6. Managing and evaluating machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
7. Ensuring all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
8. Overseeing the production planning, quality control, and project management.
9. Ensuring safety and efficiency of the facility.
10. Reporting to senior management on progress and any necessary modifications or improvements.
11. Creating a positive and motivating environment, leading by example, and fostering a commitment to quality among all staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven track record in operations management, production planning, quality control, and project management.
3. Strong knowledge of business strategy, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.
4. An MBA or equivalent qualification in a related field.
5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
6. Experience in the hardwood lumber industry.
7. A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
8. Familiarity with state and local environmental regulatory requirements.
9. Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
10. Strong knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines, manufacturing and production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
