A bit about us:
We are looking for a Plumbing Engineer to support project teams in preparing plumbing system construction documents for healthcare, higher education, and commercial building projects. The Plumbing Engineer will collaborate with the project team throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring plumbing plans align with budget constraints, other design disciplines, and client requirements.
Additional responsibilities include staying current with engineering trends, participating in professional development events, and maintaining connections with local industry professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a passion for organization.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical design and quality control for assigned projects, including plumbing system calculations and layouts.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure cohesive designs.
Apply and uphold best practices in engineering methods.
Produce construction documents for new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing facilities.
Handle construction administration tasks, including site visits and shop drawing reviews as required by the project.
Identify and implement strategies to improve cost-efficiency.
Develop comprehensive project specifications.
Update and correct drawings based on quality assurance feedback.
Assist the director with quality assurance reviews.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
6+ years of experience in the engineering field with a strong understanding of plumbing systems; medical gas experience preferred.
Experience designing systems for healthcare, higher education, or commercial buildings.
Knowledge of current plumbing and energy codes.
Project management experience is a plus but not required.
Certifications & Licenses:
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam required.
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, but not required.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to use an insured personal vehicle for work-related travel.
