Job Details
The Consultant must have strong experience in implementation of all aspects of Power BI solutions including business analysis, architecture, design, development, and deployment of dashboards and data models using Power BI tools and a variety of data sources including commercial database platforms like Oracle, Synapse, SQL Server, and Teradata.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and delivery of multiple projects.
Create project plans, milestones, and execution
Deliver projects/work on time, on budget, in a way that client goal is accomplished
Manage multiple teams of people, motivate and maintain strong relations
Experience in supervising staff both on-site and global virtual team members
Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt to challenges and to mentor team members
Create data warehouse design patterns, designs, standards, and templates
Identify problems, develop ideas and propose solutions within different situations requiring analytical, evaluative, or constructive
thinking in daily work and for assigned programs and projects
Prepare and present ideas and recommendations to colleagues and upper management and provide assistance to less
experienced employees as an advisor
Apply conceptualized and creative-thinking expertise toward possible reporting solutions or alternatives
Design and implement caching and performance architecture for Power BI tools
Hands-on development using Power BI tools to create dashboards & reports and use as standard templates
Define and implement BI management procedures
Design and implement BI metadata and data dictionary design and standards
Design and develop data warehouse projects and data marts, model and create Power BI projects, logical data marts, and table
structures; and define attributes, dimensions, hierarchies, and metrics.
Define and manage schema objects for Power BI projects
Document systems through object models, data definitions, and naming conventions
Ability to write reports, documentation and speak effectively before groups of business and IT personnel
Travel to client locations as per the project and/or client needs
Requirements:
Must possess Four (4+) years of experience in Information Technology with a technical background
Experience delivering multiple projects
Experience in BI Development (3+) years of experience in developing Power BI dashboards in addition to data preparation and
data models
Experience with building DAX queries and functions in Power BI
Conceive and Build wireframes for visual representation of reports
Experience with building dynamic Row Level Security using PowerBI
Experience in creating data warehousing and business intelligence solution
Understanding of data architecture and data warehousing concepts
Must have strong SQL and data preparation
Must be able to travel to client locations
Preferred:
Experience with fortune 500 companies implementing BI solutions
Skills:
Motivated, demonstrate initiative and leadership
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with client personnel
Works well independently and within a team
Great organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Possesses a professional demeanor
Bachelor’s degree (business, engineering, or related field recommended); knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree
