YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: Pre-Construction Manager
We’re seeking a dynamic Pre-Construction Manager to lead major construction projects while fostering new business relationships and maintaining strong connections with existing clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic planning and client-facing environments, with a proven ability to manage complex initiatives from concept through pre-construction.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead project planning and organization as the designated “Pursuit Leader”
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, tracking all developments and milestones
Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to align project objectives and construction activities
Represent the company in client and project meetings, ensuring professional communication and alignment
Prepare and oversee pricing proposals and ensure accurate, timely presentations to clients
Manage the financial aspects of contracts, safeguarding company interests while nurturing client relationships
Support the executive team with additional responsibilities as needed
Maintain a solid understanding of company philosophy, systems, objectives, and procedures
Uphold corporate performance standards and contribute to continuous improvement
Remain flexible and responsive to additional tasks related to your role and business unit needs
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, technology, scheduling, and equipment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients, architects, and consultants
Solid understanding of project delivery models including Design-Build, Design-Assist, IPD, Lean Construction, and LEED
Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to make sound decisions that impact project profitability and success
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Oracle is a plus
Capable of handling multiple priorities and adapting to shifting demands under pressure
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills
Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively at all organizational levels
Professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues, clients, vendors, and stakeholders
WHAT YOU BRING:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry (electrical contracting experience preferred)
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered
