Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload involving first party property, plaintiff, and personal injury pre-litigation cases.
2. Conduct thorough client intakes, investigating facts, and performing legal research to determine the strength of each case.
3. Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda for accuracy, effectiveness, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
4. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies to secure the best outcome for our clients.
5. Collaborate with legal support staff to compile data, organize files, and manage case documents.
6. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
7. Keep abreast of legal developments, new laws, and recent court rulings to ensure compliance and stay ahead in the field.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a strong emphasis on pre-litigation matters.
4. Proven experience in first party property, plaintiff, and personal injury law.
5. Exceptional legal writing skills with the ability to draft compelling motions and other legal documents.
6. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful case settlements.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional and positive relationship with clients and colleagues.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
10. High level of integrity, ethics, and dedication to protecting the rights of our clients.
