Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Pre-Litigation Paralegal, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing personal injury cases from intake to settlement.
- Conducting client interviews and maintaining regular contact with clients.
- Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing medical records and bills.
- Drafting demand letters and negotiating settlements with insurance adjusters.
- Assisting attorneys in the preparation for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Conducting legal research and fact-finding investigations.
- Organizing and maintaining case files and trial notebooks.
- Coordinating and scheduling case activities, and maintaining calendar.
- Preparing and filing legal documents with the court.
- Complying with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a pre-litigation paralegal, preferably in the personal injury field.
- A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court system.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other staff.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Experience with case management software is a plus.
