Job description: As a Program Architect, you will work with project teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth work environment with bright and talented engineers, architects, designers, builders, crafters, and manufacturers to improve and deploy a prototype building program and to build an alternative to the traditional construction industry. From desk to factory floor to job sites and client meetings, you will be challenged to develop your skills in a new field, taking a critical role in project delivery via the DMC methodology

This role is with a vertically integrated company that specializes in the Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) system—revolutionizing how buildings are delivered by combining architectural design, offsite manufacturing, and onsite construction. The company produces large-scale modular building components that are transported and assembled into complex structures with speed and precision. With over 400 employees and eleven production lines, it has experienced significant growth and continues to lead the industry in innovation.
Mission & Vision:
The organization is focused on delivering buildings that are twice as good, twice as fast, and twice the value of traditional methods—referred to as the 2x2x2 model. Their cross-functional team includes experts in architecture, engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, and construction, all working in unison to deliver next-generation building solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead estimating efforts and drive competitive results.
Assign estimating tasks to support staff based on project timelines.
Collaborate with business development and marketing to coordinate technical proposal requirements.
Develop project schedules, work plans, and perform risk assessments.
Build and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships.
Create detailed basis-of-estimate documentation and conduct quantity takeoffs and labor estimates.
Utilize and maintain databases and bill of materials for conceptual and detailed estimating.
Perform value analysis and evaluate construction documents for completeness and clarity.
Coordinate with internal design, manufacturing, and construction teams.
Support change management estimating and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Monitor and evaluate budgets, bids, and GMPs for efficiency and profitability.
Identify project risks and implement pricing strategies that align with company goals.
Partner with operations to ensure bids/GMPs include proper planning and logistical input.
Work with MEP and BIM teams to develop procedures and standards.
Prepare conceptual, schematic, and design development estimates.
Support client budget management and provide scope change impact assessments.
Lead value engineering, constructability reviews, and client presentations.
Ensure smooth project handoffs from preconstruction to operations.
Assist in contract negotiation, billing, and procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
Support new business acquisition through proposals and client meetings.
Maintain client relationships during and after project delivery.
Qualifications:
3–10 years of experience in the construction industry.
Professional licenses and certifications are a plus.
Proficiency in construction-related software for estimating, scheduling, and project management.
Strong communication and presentation skills to lead meetings and build client trust.
