Preconstruction Director

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates, manages, and supervises the work of preconstruction members and support staff.
• Assists and oversees the Chief Estimator in developing project budgets and estimates.
• Assists and oversees the Lead Scheduler during the planning phase of multiple project. During the execution phase, ensures that all projects are -

following a standardized template.

• Participates in and assist in attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining top caliber talent.
• Oversees the preparation of cost models during the Design Development and/or bidding period.
• Coordinates and assures that a preliminary construction schedule has been developed for each estimate.
• Conducts lessons learned meeting with project teams to update historical values and cost database.
• Assures that estimates, including general conditions, are accurate, complete, and reflect the actual requirements of the project

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years’ work experience in construction estimating and planning
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Advanced degree and/or training in management desired.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead multiple projects and pursuits at any given time.
