Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Lead all phases of proposal preparation including RFP review, document distribution, and bid strategy
- Oversee internal estimating teams, design partners, and pre-bid processes
- Attend and coordinate pre-bid site visits, develop project narratives, and manage compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Manage subcontractor/vendor scope development, pricing evaluations, and bid submissions
- Interface with scheduling, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth project transitions
- Prepare cost breakdowns, bid bonds, insurance certs, and complete turnover packages
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in commercial construction, including 3+ years in a stable, long-term role
- Experience leading complex federal, design-build, and self-perform estimates
- Proficiency with estimating software (Sage/Timberline preferred) and On-Screen Takeoff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Background in mentoring junior estimators is a plus
