Job Details
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL for a Preconstruction Manager. The role involves overseeing all aspects of planning, coordination, and management for construction projects from initial concept through final handoff. Core responsibilities include estimating, cost control, design coordination, proposal development, and budgeting. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects align with expectations and organizational standards.

- Provide leadership in business decisions and oversee financial performance of assigned projects
- Support project acquisition, scope definition, and budget development with a focus on profitability
- Establish project milestones and allocate qualified team members based on scope and complexity
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- Manage project resources from start to closeout, ensuring timelines and financial goals are met
- Monitor overall project performance, including cost, progress, and quality
- Facilitate smooth transitions from preconstruction to project execution teams
- Mentor and guide staff to meet or exceed performance expectations
- Participate in meetings to track profitability and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Maintain regular communication with clients to gather feedback and report to project teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore)
- In-depth knowledge of construction estimating, scheduling, procurement, and engineering principles
- Ability to interpret construction documents, drawings, scopes of work, and schedules
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong client relations and negotiation abilities
- Ability to inspire and lead teams effectively
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Solid business judgment with a history of successful project delivery
