We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This is a remote work opportunity that allows you to bring your expertise to our company from the comfort of your own space. As a Preconstruction Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating all preconstruction activities, providing vital input during the design, planning, and estimating phases of our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in conceptual estimating and client interaction, and will be responsible for ensuring that all preconstruction activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all preconstruction activities, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
2. Conduct conceptual estimating to provide accurate cost projections for projects.
3. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop project strategies and plans.
4. Review and evaluate project plans and specifications to identify potential cost savings and design alternatives.
5. Lead client interaction, presenting project plans, updates, and cost estimates.
6. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate contracts.
7. Provide input on constructability and logistics, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management, specifically in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in conceptual estimating and client interaction.
4. Proficient in construction management software and tools.
5. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
10. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
11. Ability to work remotely and maintain a high level of productivity and communication.
