Job Details

Our company is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your skills in project bidding, project estimation, cost management, construction management, and budgeting. As a Permanent Preconstruction Manager, you will play a critical role in the planning phase of our construction projects, ensuring that our plans are feasible, financially viable, and can be executed efficiently. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all preconstruction phases of projects, ensuring that plans are in alignment with project goals, client needs, and company standards.
2. Conduct thorough project bidding processes to select suitable contractors and suppliers, while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
3. Develop comprehensive project estimates and budgets, taking into account all potential costs and contingencies.
4. Utilize your expertise in cost management to monitor and control project costs, ensuring that projects remain within budget.
5. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure that all plans are feasible and can be executed efficiently.
6. Review and approve project designs and plans, ensuring that they meet all regulatory standards and requirements.
7. Provide expert advice on construction strategies and risk assessment, helping to prevent potential issues before they arise.
8. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure that all preconstruction activities are completed on time and within budget.
9. Continually monitor industry trends, technologies, and best practices, implementing them where appropriate to improve our preconstruction processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a preconstruction management or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience with project bidding, project estimation, cost management, construction management, and budgeting.
4. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
8. Proficiency with construction management software and other relevant technology.
9. PMP or similar certification would be a plus.
