We are seeking a seasoned Prevailing Wage Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This position is a permanent role, designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act, on all government-funded construction projects. This role requires an individual who can navigate complex wage laws, possess strong accounting skills, and has a deep understanding of labor compliance in the public construction sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and ensure compliance with all prevailing wage requirements on government-funded construction projects.
2. Utilize LCPtracker to monitor and track prevailing wage compliance.
3. Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Liaise with project managers, general contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate prevailing wage requirements and ensure compliance.
5. Conduct regular audits of payroll records to identify any potential discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
6. Stay updated with changes in prevailing wage laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
7. Provide training and guidance to project teams on prevailing wage compliance.
8. Resolve any prevailing wage disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner.
9. Collaborate with accounting department to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience with government-funded construction projects.
3. Extensive knowledge of prevailing wage laws and the Davis-Bacon Act.
4. Experience with certified payroll reporting and labor compliance in the public construction sector.
5. Proficiency in using LCPtracker or similar software.
6. Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to stay updated with changes in prevailing wage laws and implement necessary changes.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
