Principal Software Engineer

As part of a team that is building the next generation of our technology, the Principal Software Engineer will be in a fast-paced team with other talented professionals. Our solutions handle tens of billions of transactions every month, and within a team of Engineers, the Principal Software Engineer will work closely with product management to develop, test, modify and create solutions to technical issues.

Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in the software development process to create timely, quality software deliverables
Participate in estimation of new initiatives
Create and productionalize new technologies, components, and patterns
Build and maintain customer-facing and internal software platforms
Stay current on modern technology and software development approaches
Track and report on progress with higher levels of management

Required:

10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer Lead (or equivalent) across mobile/web footprint
Mastery of software engineering practices, tools, and methods
Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including ReactJS, Webpack
High level of proficiency with web concepts, frameworks, components such as Docker and compose, Nginx, Nodejs, Java, Python, and Spark
Experience with a cloud-based infrastructure=as=code environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent collaborative and influencing skills
Desire to work in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills with high degree of attention to detail
Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Highly preferred:

CI/CD build and test pipeline expertise
Experience interacting with DevOps and Enterprise Monitoring functions
Knowledge of the Agile (Scrum) development process
Experience with both functional and imperative programming approaches
Bachelor’s degree
