Job Details
We are a growing AmLaw 100 firm seeking an experienced Private Wealth Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will support attorneys in the management and administration of complex trusts and estates matters. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with clients and advisors, overseeing all stages of probate, trust administration, and estate tax compliance. We also offer a hybrid work schedule for added flexibility.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all aspects of estate and trust administration, including probate filings, asset collection, and distributions.
Prepare and file federal and state estate tax returns, court inventories, and related documentation.
Coordinate funding of trusts, asset transfers, and account management.
Assist with estate and gift tax audits when necessary.
Draft client correspondence, organize case files, and maintain accurate billing records.
Provide guidance and occasional supervision to junior paralegal staff.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree required; ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred.
5+ years of progressive trust and estate administration experience, ideally within a law firm.
Strong knowledge of probate procedures, trust administration, and fiduciary accounting.
Experience preparing estate and gift tax returns; familiarity with estate tax software a plus.
Proficiency in Westlaw, Microsoft Office Suite, and estate/trust management databases.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility for occasional overtime and travel as needed.
