Job Details

We are seeking a litigation associate with 2+ years of experience to support a team of partners handling matters in New York courts, including Surrogate’s Court. This role offers exposure to a broad range of commercial litigation and probate disputes, with a strong emphasis on hands-on case work and courtroom practice.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing litigation matters in New York State courts, including Surrogate’s Court.
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Conduct legal research and analysis, particularly under the CPLR.
Support probate litigation, including will contests, fiduciary disputes, and estate administration issues.
Participate in hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
Collaborate with partners on strategy and case development.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in New York courts.
Strong working knowledge of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR).
Experience or strong interest in probate litigation and Surrogate’s Court matters.
Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
