We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the engineering department, responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents. The role demands a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Machine Design, AutoCAD, quality control, time studies, and continuous improvement. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes, keeping in line with the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
2. Utilize AutoCAD to design and develop machine specifications, process improvements, and layout changes.
3. Conduct time studies to analyze work procedures, work flow, and space requirements.
4. Implement quality control procedures to resolve production problems, minimize costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
5. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and capacity.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish production and quality control standards and develop budget and cost controls.
7. Analyze production and machinery line to detect and rectify problems.
8. Maintain and update process documentation and reports.
9. Provide technical support to production staff and assist in training.
10. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
3. Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Machine Design, and AutoCAD.
4. Solid knowledge of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.
5. Proven experience conducting time studies and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong project management and organizational skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
9. Strong communication and team management skills.
10. Certified Professional Engineer (PE) or other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
