Job Details
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
At a minimum, tasks will include, but are not limited to:
· Evaluate and improve on processes in production systems.
· Maintain reliable and safe process systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, cost and changeovers.
· Develop innovative solutions.
· Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
· Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process.
· Provide suggestions during incident investigations.
· Advise on corrective actions.
· Work with all areas of operation to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
· Ensure that projects are completed on time.
· Ensure that financial budgets are followed.
· Research new process technologies within our production facilities.
· Prepare reports, flow diagrams and charts.
· Assume responsibility for risk assessment, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, for the health and safety of both company staff and the wider community.
· Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, and safety of the plant.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience and Skills
· 2+ years’ experience as a process or production engineer in a chemical industry or refining environment. Fertilizer manufacturing experience is a plus.
· Experience in hydrocarbon processing or reforming or synthesis gas production.
· Ability to read and produce technical reports and diagrams of the manufacturing process.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, PowerPoint).
· Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
