Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Product Liability Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in complex litigation matters related to product liability, including trial preparation, court appearances, and the execution of pleadings, motions, and interrogatories.
2. Utilizing your expertise in the legal industry to counsel clients on insurance claims, insurance defense, and commercial litigation.
3. Providing comprehensive legal advice to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
4. Conducting thorough and detailed investigations to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each case.
5. Preparing and presenting compelling arguments in court to secure favorable judgments for our clients.
6. Liaising with insurers and representing them in complex litigation matters.
7. Maintaining comprehensive records of all cases and legal proceedings.
8. Staying updated on the latest developments in product liability law and incorporating them into your legal practice.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Product Liability Attorney position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in the state of Illinois (Illinois Barred).
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on trial, litigation, commercial litigation, complex litigation, and insurance defense.
4. Proven experience in representing insurers and handling insurance claims.
5. Extensive knowledge of product liability law and a proven track record of successful litigation.
6. Demonstrated experience in drafting and executing pleadings, motions, and interrogatories.
7. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.
10. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
11. Experience in court appearances, depositions, and trial preparation.
