Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Product Liability Attorney, you will:
1. Handle a wide range of complex litigation matters related to product liability and commercial litigation.
2. Represent insurers and manage insurance claims, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
3. Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and interrogatories.
4. Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
5. Prepare for and make appearances in court, representing our clients professionally and effectively.
6. Lead depositions, ensuring all relevant information is accurately and efficiently gathered.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
8. Stay updated on the latest changes and developments in product liability law, insurance defense, and commercial litigation.
9. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.
Qualifications:
1. JD from an accredited law school.
2. Must be barred in Illinois.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Liability Attorney, with significant experience in complex litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance defense.
4. Proven track record of representing insurers and managing insurance claims.
5. Extensive experience in drafting and reviewing legal pleadings, motions, and interrogatories.
6. Strong experience in legal research and writing.
7. Excellent trial preparation and court appearance skills.
8. Ability to conduct and lead depositions effectively.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
13. Ability to mentor and guide junior legal staff.
