Job Details
The function of the Project / Product Manager is to act as the product subject matter expert, to research, plan, develop, supervise, coordinate and provide customer service, technical, sales and marketing support to the company from the perspective of the end user and the customers point of the view to maximize product and program opportunities for the company.

- At least 2 years Product Management experience, consumer focused
- BA Degree in Marketing, Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Product Launch and oversee project
- Market Research experience
- Responsible for running meetings, working with multiple departments including: Engineers, Testers, Developers and more
- Studying the market trend, identifying and recommending potential future new product and program concepts that will re-enforce the company’s market position and meets its long-term goals.
- Understanding the company’s full capability, expertise, strength, weakness, resources, priority, market position and future direction, so he/she can combine the company’s capability with the market trend to derive the best result for the company.
- Maintaining a bank of potential product ideas that can be immediately implemented in response to customer needs or competitors’ challenge. Evaluating of the competitors’ products and programs, making suggestions for any need of change in the company’s products and programs to meet competitors’ challenge. Monitoring competitors’ activities and providing competitors’ updated information (i.e. comparison chart, new developments, etc.) for company to use.
- Maintaining the competitiveness of the company’s current products and programs. Evaluating of the company’s current products and programs, making suggestions for any need of addition, deletion, or improvements.
- Evaluating all potential new product and program concepts for management approval. Supporting a timely, high quality product development process.
- Providing technical expertise both internally and externally. This may include presentation, training, exhibition, field testing, special assignments, etc.
- Protecting the interests of the company by maintaining confidentiality about new product development.
- Capable of working closely with: Customer, Marketing Research, Sales Team, R&D (HW and SW), Dev Team (HW and SW), Design, Technical, QC/Testing, Purchasing/Production, Market Support, Customer Service and Support, etc., in order to get the product development done and done correctly.
- Have the capability, will and determination to handle the assigned product from cradle to grave
- Understand the market, market trend, , technical advances, competitive trends, sales channels, distribution and pricing.
- Seek product concept opportunities that are consistent with the company’s direction and vision for penetrating the consumer, DIYer and professional markets.
- Remain informed about regulatory issues, patent and trademark issues, technical advances or marketing trends within the global automotive and automotive aftermarket industries that may represent opportunities for the company.
- Visit retailers and ecommerce sites currently carrying the company products to evaluate merchandising and to understand those who are selling and buying our products. Listen to their wants and needs regarding products.
- Visit retailers and ecommerce sites to evaluate the competition’s product offering and merchandising.
- Attending industrial and customer trade shows to understand the market trend, customer needs and competitors analysis
- Acquire and evaluate competitors’ products to learn lessons that can be applied to the company’s existing or prospective products.
- Work with Sales and Marketing personnel to develop sales strategies for perspective new accounts and for growth at existing accounts.
