Job Details
Job Overview: We are seeking a Product Manager to oversee our antibody and recombinant protein Research Use Only Products business. The ideal candidate will have a science background in Biology with research lab experience and either an MBA and excellent business acumen.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Develop priority lists for new antibodies and recombinant proteins using a business case scoring system.
- Launch newly developed products using our in-house 5-step launching method and Standard Operating Procedure.
- Attend at least one out-of-state trade show per quarter (compensation time off provided for weekend events).
- Manage the creation of New Product Data Sheets and publication to the company's website.
- Train Sales Reps on new products.
- Track and create progress reports and graphs in PowerPoint demonstrating the success of new product development and commercialization.
- Implement short- and long-range product plans, goals, and objectives.
- Execute corporate strategy for target segments, develop value propositions, define marketing campaigns and sales enablement tools, and work directly with sales and marketing teams on campaign execution.
- Launch Voice of Customer (VOC) efforts to gain insights into customer applications and determine in-licensing priorities, commercial plans, pricing, and business case requirements.
- Define, implement, and communicate key measures for overall commercial product health, and optimize based on results.
- Analyze competition and develop competitive intelligence to establish product positioning, sales force training, and education.
- Collaborate with R&D and Commercial teams.
- Follow the product from inception to launch and track product sales success.
- Provide training to sales for new products.
- Work with technical writers to create new product content, ensuring clarity and conciseness.
- Manage in-licensing and pricing strategy.
- Help create a list of new proteins and antibodies to develop and manufacture for the year.
- Report on revenue of new products rolled out.
- B.S. in Biochemistry or a related field, M.S. preferred.
- Minor in business or MBA preferred.
- Knowledge of research use only manufacturing.
- Experience with antibodies and proteins products is desired.
- Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A high degree of personal initiative and willingness to learn.
- Science background and scientific degree.
- Good business acumen.
- Organized and good with people.
