Job Details

  • Provide overall leadership and direct oversight of production operations.
  • Manage production, filling, labeling, and packaging departments.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop salaried and hourly employees.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management activities.
  • Support departmental objectives and execute strategies to meet or exceed annual operating budgets.
  • Partner with Plant leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Maintain effective communication with Warehouse, Maintenance, Facilities, Quality, and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP requirements and Quality Systems expectations.
  • Support audits, inspections, and Internal Control System requirements.
  • Assist with production planning and scheduling to achieve inventory and productivity targets.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational excellence.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs related to safety, quality, efficiency, service, waste, cost, and savings.
  • Support identification and execution of capital investment projects.
  • Monitor labor and material utilization to optimize capacity and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Conduct food safety inspections and support sanitation initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and update SOPs.
  • Utilize SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience leading both salaried and hourly employees.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing production budgets and financial data.
  • Strong background in production, filling, packaging, and labeling operations.
  • Proven ability to develop teams and drive accountability.
  • Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments with competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
  • Experience with KPI tracking and operational performance improvement.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
