Currently, we are in need of an experienced Controls Engineer with extensive programming experience who is well versed with Rockwell Automation products. This role is responsible for providing technical support for our automation projects, implementing continuous improvement projects, and managing the designs and installs of new equipment. Our ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience, stable job history with growing responsibilities, extensive programming/troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley along with extensive Wonderware Intouch & Wonderware Historian experience, VFD installs and replacements, process wiring & controls, power distribution systems, and induction heating. Job Details

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead the upstream phases of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, metal assembly, paint operations, prototype development, and other front-end production activities.

This is a highly visible leadership role created as part of the company's growth strategy to strengthen operational oversight, improve accountability, and support future expansion. The Production Manager will partner closely with the Plant Superintendent and leadership team to ensure efficient production flow, labor utilization, throughput, quality, and operational readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing leadership experience, a hands-on management style, and a proven ability to lead supervisors and large production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across fabrication, metal assembly, paint, prototype, and upstream production departments
  • Ensure production schedules are executed safely, efficiently, and on time
  • Monitor workflow, labor utilization, equipment capacity, and production bottlenecks
  • Drive accountability for safety, quality, productivity, downtime, scrap, and labor efficiency metrics
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and provide hands-on leadership
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, and Supply Chain teams to resolve operational challenges
  • Support production readiness and customer delivery objectives

Production Flow & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner daily with the Plant Superintendent to ensure seamless flow between manufacturing phases
  • Work closely with scheduling and materials teams to align labor and production capacity with customer demand
  • Monitor material shortages, constraints, and operational disruptions
  • Escalate production risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Support capacity planning initiatives and workforce allocation strategies

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and frontline leaders
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards
  • Support workforce development, succession planning, and cross-training initiatives
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Build a culture of ownership, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement

Continuous Improvement
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Improve throughput, workflow efficiency, labor utilization, and waste reduction
  • Partner with Engineering to implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and new technologies
  • Utilize KPIs and operational data to identify trends and drive corrective actions
  • Standardize processes and improve manufacturing consistency

Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action efforts
  • Support a culture focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence

Qualifications
  • 5–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience leading supervisors and large production teams
  • Strong background in manufacturing operations and production management
  • Experience managing labor utilization, production flow, and operational performance
  • Proven ability to lead in fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience using ERP systems and KPI-driven management processes
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
  • Ability to drive accountability and operational execution across multiple departments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal manufacturing, welding, paint, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operations
  • Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma experience
  • Experience leading multiple supervisors and departments
  • Capacity planning and workforce optimization experience
  • Experience implementing process improvements and operational excellence initiatives
  • Exposure to automation and manufacturing technology improvements
