Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Production Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all aspects of production, from initial planning to final execution, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Implementing lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and eliminate waste, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
3. Leading, coaching, and developing a team of production staff to ensure they are motivated, skilled, and capable of producing high-quality work.
4. Collaborating with other departments, such as design and engineering, to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
5. Managing the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they are of the right quality and delivered on time.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, creating a safe and productive work environment.
7. Monitoring production metrics and KPIs, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
8. Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure a steady flow of business and high customer satisfaction.
9. Continually staying abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to keep our production processes cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production management role or similar.
2. Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
3. Strong background in employee coaching, performance management, conflict resolution, and team development.
4. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
6. Demonstrated track record of improving employee engagement, retention, and overall production performance.
7. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping a sharp eye on details, deadlines, and budgets.
8. Experience leading change initiatives while maintaining employee trust and operational stability.
