Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Planner in the Food Manufacturing sector. This is a key role within our organization where you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. You will be a part of an energetic team that is passionate about producing high-quality food products and maintaining the highest level of efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities:
As a Production Planner, you will:
1. Develop, coordinate, and execute production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and optimize production efficiency.
2. Analyze and monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply and minimize waste.
3. Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage purchase orders.
4. Work closely with suppliers, negotiating bids and contracts to ensure the best quality and price.
5. Utilize D365 to track and analyze production data and generate reports.
6. Coordinate with various departments to resolve production issues and delays.
7. Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance production processes and increase efficiency.
8. Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
9. Forecast and plan future production needs based on historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
2. Demonstrated experience in purchasing, bidding, supplier management, and handling purchase orders.
3. Proficiency in using D365 or a similar ERP system.
4. Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
5. A solid understanding of food production processes and food safety regulations.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
