We are currently seeking an exceptional Permanent Production Planner/Scheduler Supervisor for our dynamic Manufacturing team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to contribute to the efficiency and success of our manufacturing processes. As a Production Planner/Scheduler Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle. You will also be responsible for determining the optimal manufacturing sequence and ensuring cost-effective and timely production. This role requires a strong ability to manage multiple tasks, solve complex problems, and maintain a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detailed production plans and schedules that align with company objectives and customer demand.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure materials and resources are available for production.
- Utilize Oracle and SAP systems to manage production schedules and inventory.
- Monitor production processes, adjust schedules as needed, and advise the management team on the status of production.
- Implement lean manufacturing strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to identify and resolve production issues, improve processes, and increase product quality.
- Supervise, guide, and train production planning staff to ensure a high level of productivity and adherence to company standards.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Participate in budget development and oversee cost management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and scheduling in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in Oracle and SAP systems.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic solutions.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven experience in staff supervision and team management.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory management.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is a plus.
