Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Build and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, sales trends, and inventory needs.
- Work closely with procurement to confirm the timely arrival of raw materials, packaging, and related supplies.
- Monitor ongoing production activity, adapting schedules to maintain flow and avoid bottlenecks or downtime.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of any external planning resources to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Partner with QA and production teams to uphold product standards and maintain consistent quality output.
- Manage inventory targets by tracking stock levels and coordinating restocking efforts as needed.
- Serve as a central point of communication for production planning updates across departments such as warehouse, shipping, and customer service.
- Produce routine reporting and performance dashboards to highlight efficiency, fill rates, and improvement areas.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues such as labor shortages, supply delays, or equipment disruptions.
- Assist in refining operational processes to improve scheduling accuracy, reduce waste, and drive performance.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and food safety standards throughout production planning operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; a degree in supply chain, operations, or business is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing, food processing, or distribution setting (seafood experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP or planning software systems.
- Strong communicator who can collaborate across teams and respond to shifting priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and temperature-controlled production environment.
- Familiarity with seafood industry standards or perishable food operations is advantageous.
