Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic Permanent Production Supervisor to join our growing Engineering team. This role will be instrumental in overseeing our production operations, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are running smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, from planning and organizing, to executing and controlling the manufacturing functions of the company. This position requires a strong leader who can drive performance, manage change, and inspire a team to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the production department and ensure all activities adhere to operational procedures and safety standards.
• Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer requirements and maximize productivity.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Monitor and control production costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring all staff are trained and adhering to regulations.
• Liaise with other departments such as procurement, quality assurance, and engineering to optimize production processes.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
• Manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the engineering industry.
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of production management and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with industry-specific software and ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
