As a Permanent Production Supervisor, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our production department. This includes overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations, and ensuring that production meets the required standards of quality, cost, delivery, and safety. You will also play a critical role in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of excellence in our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate all production activities and operations to ensure that production schedules are met and that products meet specified quality standards.
2. Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and food safety standards.
3. Lead and motivate production teams to meet production targets and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs).
4. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and practices.
5. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
6. Train and develop production staff, conduct performance evaluations, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
7. Collaborate with other departments (such as Quality Control, Maintenance, and Logistics) to optimize production operations.
8. Monitor and control production costs to maintain profitability.
9. Resolve production issues and bottlenecks to ensure maximum efficiency.
10. Participate in production planning and forecasting activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and food safety standards.
4. Proven experience in food production and lean manufacturing.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
10. Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects if required.
