Job Details

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, develop employees, and ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.

This role is responsible for supervising production employees, driving continuous improement initiatives, managing performance, and ensuring customer demand is met through effective planning, communication, and execution.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who can balance safety, quality, productivity, and employee development while creating a positive and accountable work environment.

Current Manufacturing Environment
  • 1st Shift: Approximately 110 employees
  • 2nd Shift: Approximately 56 employees
  • Weekend Shift: Approximately 46 employees
  • Final Assembly teams typically consist of approximately 40 employees
  • Supervisors typically lead a significant portion of these operations depending on department assignment

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities
  • Lead, coach, and develop production employees
  • Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met
  • Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and cost metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Conduct employee coaching, performance management, and development activities
  • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues effectively
  • Implement company policies and disciplinary procedures when necessary
  • Perform safety inspections, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
  • Analyze departmental performance and provide reporting to leadership
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Support process improvements and standard work initiatives
  • Maintain accurate production reporting and ERP transactions
  • Help establish and maintain a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, or production leadership experience
  • Experience leading teams of 20+ employees preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations
  • Excellent communication and employee development skills
  • Experience managing performance, attendance, and employee accountability
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Experience measuring performance against production goals and KPIs
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing leadership or supervision training
  • Experience leading teams in fabrication, assembly, sheet metal, or discrete manufacturing environments
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience
  • Experience with KPI reporting and production metrics
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
  • Experience driving safety and quality initiatives
  • Strong employee coaching and workforce development background
