Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in product liability litigation.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, summaries, status reports, and final case reports.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of case issues and provide advice on litigation strategy.
- Prepare and present cases for trial, including jury selection, opening and closing arguments, direct and cross-examinations.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in mediation and arbitration when appropriate.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including depositions, pretrial hearings, and discovery.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best outcome for clients.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in law and inform clients or colleagues of changes that affect their cases.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and a member in good standing with any state bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product liability litigation, with a focus on aviation litigation preferred.
- Proven experience as a litigator with significant trial experience.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, including the ability to draft complex legal documents.
- Familiarity with mass torts and class action lawsuits.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful mediation.
- Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and other legal professionals.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
