As a Consulting Program Officer in Philanthropy, you will be at the forefront of our organization's efforts to promote and support meaningful change in communities around the world. This role is a unique opportunity for a driven, strategic thinker with a proven track record in program management and philanthropy consulting. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of passionate professionals, clients, and partners to develop and implement innovative, effective philanthropy programs.

The ideal Program Officer has philanthropy experience and/or nonprofit. The most important aspect that this person comes in with experience in is grant making, grant writing, etc. Ideally, someone with leadership experience, as well as budgeting experience is also nice to have.

This is an interim role to cover for a maternity leave from May-August. There is an opportunity for hire amongst this team, as well! During the consulting period, you get AMAZING benefits that are 75% covered for you and 25% for dependents, as well as sick time and 401K! This position is Tuesday-Friday and typically works from 36-40 hours/week!

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, manage, and implement philanthropic programs and strategies that align with our clients' objectives and the organization's mission.
2. Provide expert advice and guidance to our clients on philanthropic trends, best practices, and strategies to maximize their impact.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure the successful execution of programs.
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure they meet or exceed objectives.
5. Lead and participate in meetings, workshops, and other events to promote our services and the value of philanthropy.
6. Conduct research and analysis to identify new opportunities for philanthropic engagement and investment.
7. Develop and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and proposals to communicate program outcomes and impacts to clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Program Officer or a similar role in philanthropy, consulting, or non-profit sectors.
2. Demonstrated expertise in developing, managing, and implementing philanthropic programs and strategies.
3. Proven ability to provide strategic advice and guidance on philanthropy and to build strong, productive relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
4. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and use findings to inform decision-making and strategy development.
5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver clear, compelling presentations, reports, and proposals.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
7. A commitment to promoting and supporting meaningful change in communities around the world.
8. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
