A bit about us:
Our growing construction client is seeking a Project Accountant to join its team. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial aspects of various construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, AIA billing, and project and job costing.

- Manage financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Analyze project costs and provide recommendations to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Prepare and submit AIA billing to clients and ensure timely payment
- Monitor project expenses and ensure they are properly coded and recorded in the accounting system
- Reconcile project-related accounts and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard
- Provide financial analysis and support to project managers and other stakeholders
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Maintain project-related documentation and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, AIA billing, and project and job costing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Knowledge of construction industry and related accounting practices
- Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines
