If you answered yes to these questions, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are currently seeking a Permanent Project Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. You will be a key player in our team, responsible for overseeing the financial health and success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Project Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the success of our projects. These include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all financial aspects of construction projects, from initial budgeting to final cost reporting.
2. Working closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
3. Preparing and reviewing job cost reports and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
4. Managing all aspects of project billing, including preparing invoices, tracking payments, and resolving any billing issues.
5. Performing financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and project performance analysis.
6. Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
7. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and audits.
8. Using Yardi or equivalent software for financial management and reporting.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of education, experience, and skills. These include:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Accountant in the construction industry, preferably with electrical construction projects.
3. Experience with Yardi or equivalent accounting software is a must.
4. Familiarity with the financial aspects of electrical contractor operations.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial team members.
7. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
10. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
