Job Details
As a Project Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all project-related accounting tasks, including preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Monitoring and analyzing project costs, identifying any variances, and advising project managers on cost control strategies.
3. Ensuring accurate and timely billing of all project-related expenses.
4. Preparing and maintaining Construction Work in Progress (WIP) schedules.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure project profitability.
6. Collaborating with project managers, finance team, and other stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met.
7. Performing financial analysis and preparing reports for management.
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Project Accountant position must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Solid understanding and experience with Construction WIP, Cost Accounting, and Project Accounting.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions.
9. Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
