Job Details
Our well-established and award winning firm is seeking a highly skilled Project Architect with a focus on Multifamily, Student Housing, Hospitality, or Affordable Housing projects. This is a hybrid role that will require a dynamic balance of on-site presence and remote work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily architecture design. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from concept to completion, ensuring that all design and construction activities align with our company's high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design process for multifamily and affordable housing projects, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
2. Utilize Revit to create and present compelling architectural designs to clients and stakeholders.
3. Manage all phases of design projects, including coordinating with consultants, contractors, and clients.
4. Review and approve architectural and engineering drawings to ensure design and technical quality.
5. Oversee the project management aspects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation.
6. Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, codes, and affordable housing development guidelines.
7. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking out opportunities to enhance design and project management processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with multifamily, affordable housing, student housing, or hospitality architecture.
3. Proficiency in Revit.
4. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Strong knowledge of architectural design, drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes, and construction techniques.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts to a variety of audiences.
7. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
8. Valid Architectural license is preferred.
