Job Details
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Project Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and execution of diverse projects within the engineering industry. This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of skilled professionals on innovative and complex projects, and it requires a deep understanding of construction documents, steel frame construction, and detailing.
1. Oversee all stages of the project life cycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies to construction and handover.
2. Utilize Revit for designing, modeling, and detailing architectural plans.
3. Prepare and review construction documents, ensuring they meet all quality, technical, and regulatory standards.
4. Lead the design process, including conceptual, schematic, and detailed design stages.
5. Apply knowledge of steel frame construction to develop structural designs and details.
6. Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to ensure project goals are met.
7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
8. Advocate for sustainable design principles and lead the LEED certification process for projects.
9. Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction is proceeding according to plans and specifications.
10. Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating design ideas and solutions.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the architecture or engineering industry, with a focus on design and project management.
3. Proficiency in Revit, including modeling, detailing, and producing construction documents.
4. Experience with steel frame construction and knowledge of current construction methodologies and systems.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead the design process from concept through completion.
6. LEED Accredited Professional or a commitment to obtain accreditation within a specified timeframe.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
9. A portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and successful project management.
10. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
