Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and construction of complex architectural projects from conception to completion. You will be working closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of architectural projects from conception to completion for an indigenous-owned Architecture firm.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the project, including architectural requirements, cultural research, design, and construction documents.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are met and that all parties are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Use Revit and other tools to create detailed architectural drawings and models, and ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date throughout the project.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and other team members, and ensure that they are meeting project goals and deadlines.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is proceeding according to plan, and make any necessary adjustments to the design or construction documents as needed.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date, and that it is stored in a secure and accessible manner.

Qualifications:

  • Accredited Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
  • 3+ years of experience in architectural project management, with a focus on complex projects in the construction industry.
  • Graduate level degree in American Indian Studies would be extremely beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of architectural requirements, cultural research, design, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other architectural software tools.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents and to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and other team members.
