Currently seeking a Building Automation Project Engineer to support the implementation of building automation systems for multiple clients in the Boston, Massachusetts market.

- Assist the Project Manager in completing projects on time by coordinating communication and tasks from sales to field execution. Understand and manage project-specific control sequences and scope.
- Collaborate with BAS engineers on shop drawings, submittals, databases, programs, and graphical interfaces. Ensure quality assurance of engineering packages before and after submission.
- Interpret project plans and specifications and maintain end-user standards throughout the project. Communicate technical issues to project managers, senior technicians, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Forecast revenues and re-estimate project costs with the Project Manager. Coordinate specialists and subcontractors to maintain the schedule and work relationships.
- Maintain redlines, submit As-Built documents, and manage commissioning requirements. Ensure system check-out, start-up, and commissioning activities are complete.
- Mentor lower-level team members and participate in solutions-based discussions. Attend project meetings and identify opportunities and risks. Communicate with jobsite personnel to achieve objectives.
- Complete training for career growth and support a performance-based culture of continuous improvement and safety. Foster open dialogue and high performance across the team.
Requirements:
- Equivalent experience of 4 years or more including vocational school, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer technology or similar field with 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Prior experience writing Building Automation Systems programs and graphics. Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, etc.
- Experience with electronic systems, troubleshooting, estimating, and dealing with complexity
- Must use Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Visio. Other software includes AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
