We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating structural drawings, developing scopes of work, and ensuring full cycle project completion. They will also be involved in the design and development of various materials including steel, concrete, and glass.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
2. Collaborate with architects and construction project managers to understand and complete design specifications.
3. Direct and oversee the full cycle of project completion, from initial design to final commissioning support.
4. Develop detailed designs of structures using materials such as steel, concrete, and glass.
5. Prepare bills of material, cost estimates, and project timelines.
6. Ensure all designs and constructions are carried out in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
7. Evaluate potential project risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
8. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in civil engineering and incorporate them into operations and activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil OR Structural Engineering, OR a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in a civil/structural engineering role.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
4. Extensive experience with structural drawings, bills of material, and full-cycle project completion.
5. Solid knowledge of construction materials, including steel, concrete, and glass.
6. Experience in manufacturing and understanding of cost estimates.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Excellent communication and project management skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
