Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Review project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project.
2. Calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project.
3. Prepare and update project schedules while monitoring the progress of the project.
4. Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules and plans as required.
5. Work with the project team to ensure project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
6. Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future project plans based on lessons learned from completed projects.
7. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
8. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
9. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
10. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
11. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on demolition.
3. Proven track record of successfully overseeing and delivering construction projects from start to finish.
4. Strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
5. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
6. Excellent knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
7. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
9. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
10. Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
11. PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
