Job Details

Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Engineer to join our team in the Construction industry. This role is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from inception to completion, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of high-quality construction projects. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, problem-solver with strong organizational and communication skills. This position will play a crucial role in managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs, as well as assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and documentation.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs to ensure all project requirements are met and documented.
2. Assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and documentation, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
3. Tracking project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities to ensure all project resources are utilized effectively.
4. Coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams to ensure all project tasks are executed according to plan and specifications.
5. Supporting jobsite meetings and maintaining meeting minutes to ensure all project stakeholders are informed of project progress and any issues or changes.
6. Reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability, ensuring all project designs are feasible and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
7. Assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover, ensuring all project deliverables are completed and handed over to the client in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Engineer role or similar within the Construction industry.
2. Proven experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs.
3. Strong experience assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and documentation.
4. Experience tracking project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities.
5. Experience coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to support jobsite meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to review plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability.
8. Experience assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover.
9. A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
