As a Project Engineer, you will be involved in new construction projects, commercial and residential door installation, and trim carpentry work. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish, working closely with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from initial planning to completion.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review and analyze project specifications and blueprints to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
- Conduct on-site inspections to monitor the quality of work and adherence to safety regulations.
- Address and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, budget updates, and other documentation as required.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other professionals to determine the most efficient and cost-effective construction methods.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction regulations and standards.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical advice as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in new construction projects, commercial and residential door installation, and trim carpentry work.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in construction software and technology.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, and to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are a plus.
