Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Leading and managing all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project plans and specifications are accurate and achievable.
4. Overseeing the procurement and management of materials and equipment.
5. Ensuring all construction activities comply with safety and quality standards.
6. Managing the resolution of any on-site issues or disputes to minimize project delays.
7. Communicating regularly with clients, stakeholders, and team members to keep them informed about project progress.
8. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure work is being carried out to the highest standard.
9. Coordinating with utility companies to ensure necessary services are in place for construction projects.
10. Preparing and presenting project reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this Permanent Project Manager position will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management with at least 3 years of Commercial Utility experience.
2. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Excellent budgeting skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects within budget.
6. Experience in coordinating with utility companies and managing utility-related aspects of construction projects.
7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues and disputes quickly and effectively.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
10. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant software.
11. A professional certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (CCM) would be an added advantage.
