We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Project Manager for our Commercial Construction division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team and manage a variety of projects in the construction industry. You will be responsible for overseeing projects from the ground up, ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This role demands a high level of responsibility and leadership and is perfect for someone with a strong background in commercial construction and a passion for quality and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
  • Overseeing all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation, including climate-controlled environments and self-storage facilities.
  • Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, including the coordination of material and human resources.
  • Effectively applying our project management methodology and enforcing project standards to minimize exposure and risk on projects.
  • Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Working closely with the project team to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.
  • Reviewing the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and key team members of the project team.
  • Monitoring the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and holding regular status meetings.
  • Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in commercial construction.
  • Proven working experience as a project manager in the construction sector.
  • Solid knowledge of building processes and construction details.
  • Proficient in Procore construction management software programs.
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Experience with concrete, climate-controlled, ground-up construction, industrial, and self-storage projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
