We are seeking a motivated and experienced Permanent Project Manager for Commercial Self Storage Construction. This dynamic role is perfect for someone who is passionate about overseeing and delivering construction projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial self-storage construction, specifically with expertise in climate-controlled and ground-up construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, manage teams, and make a significant impact on our company's success.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all aspects of construction project management from initial planning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Developing and managing project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
3. Coordinating and supervising the work of project teams, including contractors, architects, and engineers.
4. Managing the design and construction of climate-controlled and ground-up self-storage facilities.
5. Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
6. Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans as necessary.
7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
8. Providing regular project updates and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
9. Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, specifically in commercial self-storage construction.
2. Proven experience in managing climate-controlled and ground-up construction projects.
3. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of professionals.
5. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials, and safety practices.
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
9. The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
